Just got home from an ASP job as contest director for the ASP Swatch Girls Pro in China. Contest went great and there was plenty of surf!! Check out the clips on their website. Swatch, the Chinese government and the ASP went huge on this event!! Got to play on a new wave pool design yesterday in Coffs Harbour. So much fun. After speaking at length with the designer and brains behind this prototype I can see the amazing possibilities with this new wave pool. Basically they can build them a lot higher but even more excitingly a lot longer so you can really get weaving down the line and create more of your own speed like real surfing. They're also a lot more cost affective than Flow rider designs so hopefully we'll start seeing these pop up around the country and world.
